THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MOTIVATION AND INSPIRATION

Highly motivated people have a determination driving them and most of the time that determination will be driven by the desire to gain a form of pleasure or avoid potential pain. There will be specific goals and achievements targeted.

Highly motivated people will let ‘nothing’ get in their way no matter what the obstacle is that they face. If motivation is taking an idea and following it through to its acceptable conclusion, then inspiration is the reverse. When we’re in the grip of inspiration an idea takes hold of us from the invisible reality of Spirit or Consciousness.

Often we can identify these inspired times by their insistence, and because they don’t seem to make any sense while at the same time they will continue to appear in our consciousness. Inspiration is a ‘calling’ to proceed even though we are unsure of the specific goals and achievements, it may even insist the we move into previously uncharted waters. To not listen to our inspiration can often cause internal conflict until you take note and follow it!

Inspiration is a gift from the Source of Life, Motivation is man made.
